The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has officially released the CISF ASI Paramedical Staff Recruitment 2026 notification for the posts of Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) in Pharmacist, X-Ray Technician, and Lab Technician trades. A total of 24 vacancies are available under this recruitment drive, open to eligible male and female Indian citizens. Vacancy Details — Category-Wise

A total of 11,127 vacancies have been notified for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot across all 21 RRBs and 17 railway zones. The RRB-wise and railway zone-wise detailed distribution of vacancies is given in Annexure-B of the official CEN 01/2026 notification PDF. Participating RRBs (All 21)

Note: 10% of the total vacancies are reserved for Ex-Servicemen (ESM) candidates as per government norms. These are tentative vacancies and may be revised by CISF before the final appointment.

Age Limit (as on 07 July 2026)

Age relaxation is as per Government of India rules applicable to Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) recruitment.

Educational Qualification

ASI (Pharmacist) — 18 Posts

  • Passed 10+2 (Intermediate) from a recognized Board or University; AND
  • Diploma or Degree in Pharmacy recognized by the Central / State Government; AND
  • Registered as “Pharmacist” under the Pharmacy Act, 1948.

ASI (X-Ray Technician) — 01 Post

  • Passed 10+2 (Intermediate) from a recognized Board or University; AND
  • 2-Year Diploma in Radiography recognized by the Central / State Government.

ASI (Lab Technician) — 05 Posts

  • Passed 10+2 with Science from a recognized Board or University; AND
  • 2-Year Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology recognized by the Central / State Government.

All qualifications must be from institutions recognized by the Central or State Government. Candidates must produce original certificates during Documentation stage.

Physical Standards

Physical Standards Test (PST) is a qualifying stage. Candidates not meeting the prescribed physical measurements will be disqualified regardless of their written exam performance.

Selection Process

Written Examination (Stage I)

  • Type: Objective / OMR-based or Computer Based Test (CBT)
  • Total Marks: 100
  • Duration: 2 Hours
  • Language: Bilingual (English and Hindi)

Physical Standard Test — PST (Stage II)

  • Shortlisted candidates (approximately 5 times the number of vacancies) will be called for PST
  • Height, Chest (for males), and Weight measurements will be recorded against the prescribed standards

Documentation / Certificate Verification (Stage III)

  • Original educational certificates, category certificates (SC/ST/OBC/EWS), trade registration certificates (for Pharmacist: Pharmacy Council registration), and date of birth proof will be verified

Basic Vocational Aptitude Test — BVAT (Stage IV)

  • A practical, trade-specific skill evaluation to assess the candidate’s hands-on proficiency in their respective paramedical discipline
  • Qualifying in nature; exact marks/pattern as per official notification

Medical Examination (Stage V)

  • Detailed Medical Examination (DME) followed by Review Medical Examination (RME) if required
  • Must meet CISF/CAPF medical fitness standards

Selection will be based on merit drawn from the written examination, subject to qualifying all other stages. The final merit list will be prepared post successful completion of all stages.
