The Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Marketing Division, Western Region, has officially released the IOCL WR Apprentice Recruitment 2026 notification (Advt. No. IOCL/MKTG/WR/APPR/2026-27) on 05 October 2026 on its official website iocl.com/apprenticeships. A total of 335 seats have been announced for Technician, Trade and Graduate Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961.
Eligible candidates can register and apply online on the NATS or NAPS portal from 05 October 2026 (10:00 AM) to 04 November 2026 (5:00 PM). Training locations are in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Chhattisgarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu.
As per the notification, there is no written test or interview. Selection is based on the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination, followed by Document Verification and a Pre-Engagement Medical Examination. The apprenticeship training period is 12 months.

- Technician Apprentice (Codes 101 to 106) — 3-year regular full-time Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation / Civil / Electrical & Electronics / Electronics Engineering with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC / ST / PwBD)
Trade Apprentice (Codes 107 to 111) — Matric with regular full-time 2-year ITI in Fitter / Electrician / Electronics Mechanic / Instrument Mechanic / Machinist recognised by NCVT / SCVT
Graduate Apprentice (Code 112) — Regular full-time Graduate (BA / B.Com / B.Sc / BBA) in any discipline with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC / ST / PwBD)
Data Entry Operator (Code 113) — Class 12 (below graduate) with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC / ST / PwBD)
Data Entry Operator Skill Certificate Holders (Code 114) — Class 12 (below graduate) with a Domestic Data Entry Operator Skill Certificate of less than one year recognised under NSQF
Qualification Window (Graduate and Technician) — Obtained between 01 April 2023 and 30 September 2026
Qualification Window (Trade ITI and Data Entry Operator) — Obtained between 01 April 2022 and 30 September 2026
- The qualification must be a full-time regular course. Part-time, correspondence or distance learning qualifications are not eligible.
- Candidates with higher qualifications such as B.E. / B.Tech, MBA, MCA, CA, ICWA, LLB or equivalent, or pursuing them, are not eligible.
- A candidate can apply for any one discipline code only. Applying for more than one code leads to rejection.
- PwBD candidates are not eligible for discipline codes 101 to 111. PwBD reservation applies to codes 112, 113 and 114.
- A candidate may undergo a maximum of two apprenticeship trainings, and the second training cannot be in the same trade.
Selection Process
The selection process consists of the following stages:
- Stage 1 — Registration and application on NATS / NAPS portal against the IOCL Western Region notification
Stage 2 — Merit list prepared on the percentage of marks in the essential qualification for the post (no written test or interview)
Stage 3 — Document Verification of shortlisted candidates
Stage 4 — Pre-Engagement Medical Fitness as per IOCL medical format
Stage 5 — Offer of Engagement for Apprenticeship Training
How to Apply Online — Step by Step
1) Read the full advertisement and confirm eligibility, discipline code and the state where you want to train.
2) Register on the correct portal: Trade Apprentice (ITI / Data Entry Operator) on NAPS at https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in/ and Technician or Graduate Apprentice on NATS at https://nats.education.gov.in/
3) Complete your profile to 100 percent, including personal details, educational details and category.
4) Log in to the portal and search for the IOCL Marketing Division Western Region opening using the Establishment ID: NATS WMHMCC000053 or NAPS E01172700332.
5) Apply for any one discipline code only and select a training location only within the notified Western Region states and UTs.
6) Submit the application on the portal between 05 October 2026 (10:00 AM) and 04 November 2026 (5:00 PM).
7) Keep your registered email ID and mobile number active. Document Verification details will be sent by email.
8) Keep PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, bank account details and scanned qualification certificates ready.
9) Check iocl.com/apprenticeships regularly for corrigenda and updates.
