The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has officially released the AIIMS CRE-5 2026 Notification on 13 June 2026 on its official website aiimsexams.ac.in. A total of 1,484 vacancies have been announced for various Group B and Group C Non-Faculty posts across participating AIIMS institutes and other Central Government healthcare organisations.
This is one of the most significant central government healthcare recruitment drives of 2026. The AIIMS Common Recruitment Examination-5 (CRE-5) is a national-level centralised exam covering 57 post groups spanning technical, administrative, nursing, pharmacy, laboratory, and allied health roles. Eligible candidates can submit their online applications from 13 June 2026 to 3 July 2026 (up to 5:00 PM) through the official AIIMS examination portal.

Age is calculated as on 3 July 2026 (the closing date for online application). The post-wise age ranges are as follows:

- Lab Attendant / Electrician / Plumber and similar — 10th Pass + ITI / Trade Certificate in relevant trade
- LDC / Data Entry Operator and similar — 12th Pass from a recognised Board
- OT Technician / Radiographer / Diploma Posts — Relevant Diploma from a recognised institution
- Staff Nurse / Pharmacist / Lab Technician — B.Sc Nursing / B.Pharm / B.Sc (relevant science discipline) from a recognised university; registration with respective Council as applicable
- Senior Nursing Officer — B.Sc Nursing + 3 years of experience as Staff Nurse Grade-II in a minimum 100–200 bedded hospital (bed-strength criteria differ by institute; refer to Annexure-I)
- Junior Engineer / Administrative Group B Posts — Graduate Degree in relevant discipline from a recognised university
- Note: Eligibility criteria vary by post group and by participating institute. The exact qualification requirement for each post group is listed in Annexure-I of the official DRA. Candidates must verify their eligibility from Annexure-I before submitting an application.
- Registration with the relevant statutory council (Nursing Council, Pharmacy Council, etc.) is mandatory for posts requiring council registration, as specified in the official notification.
Selection Process
The selection process for AIIMS CRE 5 2026 consists of the following stages:
- Stage 1 — Online Application & Registration
- Stage 2 — Application Screening (Status published on 11 July 2026)
- Stage 3 — Computer-Based Test (CBT) — 100 MCQs / 400 Marks / 5 Sections of 18 Minutes Each (Tentatively 25–27 July 2026)
- Stage 4 — Skill Test (for specific post groups such as Stenographer, Computer Operator, LDC — qualifying in nature)
- Stage 5 — Document Verification (for shortlisted candidates)
How to Apply Online — Step by Step
1) Visit the official AIIMS examination portal: https://aiimsexams.ac.in
2) Complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) process:
- Click on the OTR / Registration link on the homepage
- Enter your basic personal details, mobile number, and email ID
- A unique Registration ID will be sent to your registered email and mobile number
3) Log in to the AIIMS portal using your Registration ID
4) Select the AIIMS CRE-5 2026 apply link
5) Select the post group(s) you wish to apply for. Note: a separate application and separate fee must be submitted for each post group
6) Fill in the application form carefully — personal details, educational qualifications, category, experience (if applicable), and institute preference
7) Upload required documents:
- Recent passport-size photograph (as per specified dimensions and file size)
- Signature (as per specified dimensions and file size)
- Thumb impression (as per specified dimensions and file size)
8) Pay the application fee (₹3,000 for General/OBC; ₹2,400 for SC/ST/EWS; Nil for PwBD) through Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking
9) Review all entered details carefully before final submission. No corrections will be permitted after the form is submitted.
10) Submit the application and download / print a copy of the confirmation page. Keep it for future reference.
Important: Candidates currently employed in Government / PSU / Autonomous Bodies must also submit their No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer to AIIMS by 8 July 2026. Applications without a valid NOC will not be considered.
