UPPSC PCS Recruitment 2026 — 500 Vacancies, Apply Online by 27 July 2026
The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC), the state’s constitutional recruitment body, has officially released the UPPSC PCS 2026 Notification (Advertisement No. A-1/E-1/2026) on 25 June 2026 at its official website uppsc.up.nic.in. Approximately 500 vacancies have been announced under the Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services (PCS) (General/Special Recruitment) Examination 2026 for various Group A and Group B posts across Uttar Pradesh Government departments.

A candidate must be one of the following:
- A citizen of India
- A subject of Nepal or Bhutan
- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, or the specified East African countries with the intention of permanently settling in India
Educational Qualification
Post — Required Qualification
- Most Group A and Group B Posts — Bachelor’s Degree in any stream from a recognised University or equivalent
- Specific Technical / Special Posts — Additional qualifications (e.g. B.Ed, LLB, BE/B.Tech, PG Degree/Diploma, CA/CFA) as prescribed per post
- Reference Date for Qualification — The required degree must be held as on the last date for receipt of applications
- Final-year candidates should verify post-wise eligibility; the required degree must be held by the last date for receipt of applications.

Selection Process
The selection process consists of the following stages:
- Preliminary Examination (Prelims) — Objective type (OMR-based), offline, qualifying stage
- Main Examination (Mains) — Descriptive / written examination, merit-based
- Interview (Personality Test) — For candidates who qualify the Mains
- Final Selection — Based on combined Mains and Interview marks (Prelims marks not counted in merit)
How to Apply Online — Step by Step

2) Complete the One Time Registration (OTR) at otr.pariksha.nic.in at least 72 hours before applying, if not already registered. Note your OTR number and password.
3) Log in to the UPPSC portal using your OTR number and password.
4) Select the Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services (PCS) Examination 2026 advertisement (Advt. No. A-1/E-1/2026).
5) Fill in the application form carefully — personal details, educational qualifications, category, and post preferences.
6) Upload the required documents: a recent passport-size photograph and signature as per the specified dimensions and file size.
7) Pay the application fee online (₹125 for General/OBC/EWS; ₹65 for SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen of UP; ₹25 for PwD) via Net Banking, UPI, or Debit/Credit Card.
8) Review all details carefully before final submission. Corrections can be made only during the correction window (up to 03 August 2026).
